Absorbents for warehouses and loading bays
Warehouses see a wide mix of small spills: a split container in an aisle, a drip under a vehicle at the loading bay, rain blown in at a dock door, a leaking drum in goods-in. We make the universal absorbents and caution-printed rolls that distributors and brands supply to warehouses and logistics sites, under their own label.

Products
What we supply for this
| Product | What it does here |
|---|---|
| Universal Absorbent Products | Grey pads, rolls, socks and pillows for oils, coolants, solvents and water-based fluids: one absorbent for the mixed spills of a warehouse. |
| High-Visibility Universal Absorbent Roll | Caution-printed universal rolls and pads that absorb the spill and mark the wet area, for aisles, doorways, loading bays and goods-in. |
Why universal absorbents suit warehouses
In a warehouse, the person who finds a spill often does not know exactly what it is. It may be oil from a vehicle, cleaning fluid from a damaged carton, a drink, or rainwater. A universal absorbent takes up oils, coolants, solvents and water-based fluids alike, so staff can act straight away. Grey is the industry standard for universal absorbents because it hides grime and looks cleaner for longer.
Where aggressive chemicals such as acids or alkalis are stored, keep chemical absorbents at hand as well. For water alone, for example at dock doors, under chillers or from roof leaks, SAP flat socks and leak pads turn water into gel.
Where each format is used
A warehouse range usually covers:
- Pads: drips under vehicles at loading bays, and drum-top dispensing stations.
- Rolls: aisles, walkways and ramps, and lining shelves and benches; perforated to tear to size.
- Socks: doorways and thresholds, around drains, and around a spill to stop it spreading along an aisle.
- Pillows: drip pans, sumps and under slow leaks, where a pad is too thin.
- Hi-vis caution rolls: loading bays, goods-in, walkways, aisles and doorways, where a wet floor must be seen.
Absorb the spill and mark it
In busy aisles and at loading bays, a spill that has been dealt with can still leave a slippery area. A caution-printed roll keeps working after the spill has been soaked up, holding the liquid while showing everyone who passes that the floor needs care.
Our hi-vis roll is perforated down the centre and across, so one roll gives four usable sizes without a knife. The printed face is abrasion resistant and stands up to light foot and trolley traffic. The print can be our standard caution design or your own artwork, wording and language, so a distributor selling into several countries can print each market's language. High-visibility marking supplements, but does not replace, proper signage and safety procedures; test suitability before use with aggressive chemicals.
Choosing the construction
Universal pads and rolls are made plain or bonded, in seven constructions, with perforation and spunbond print as options. Socks and pillows have a sonic-welded outer and are filled to the weight you specify. Tell us where each product will be used and how much foot and trolley traffic it will take, and we will suggest a starting point and send samples to try.
Supplying warehouses under your brand
We supply distributors and brands who sell under their own name. Universal comes in grey as standard; size, weight, fill, perforation, print and packing are set to your specification. Universal pads, rolls, socks and pillows and hi-vis rolls can be combined in one 40'HQ container with up to 5–6 different products, together with other absorbents from our range. Plain polybags are standard; printed polybags, cartons and labels are available at extra cost.
